Twas the night before Christmas, and there’s Chinese food in the Depot? Yup, the Jewbilee is coming to First Avenue.
The sixth annual Christmas Eve event will feature the usual Chinese food buffet along with free schmoozing and hanging out in The Depot Tavern. Next door in the 7th Street Entry ($3.00 cover), there will be live music from Kids Like Us, Kin (featuring Bobby Z of the Revolution), Adam Levy of the Honeydogs, and Rabbi Jon Davis & His Klezmer Orchestra, plus stand-up comedy from Laura Thorne, Dan Mogol, Pat Susmilch and David Harris and a DJ set from Mike 2600. With festivities beginning at 9:00pm, the Jewbilee is the place to be in Minneapolis this Saturday night for anyone in search of nightlife activity and eggrolls.
Sponsored by Indie Jews, Jewish Community Action, Stand Up! Records, and TCJewfolk.com, a portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Northside Community Reinvestment Coalition and Minnesotans United for All Families.
