Summer has arrived in Minneapolis and we’ve added some items to our menu at The Depot Tavern. New small bites include Shrimp & Grits Poppers and a Mediterranean Bean & Corn Tostada, and later this week we’ll be debuting some Poutine Potato Skins served with fresh curds and deep-fried Ham & Cheese Croquettes. Green Pork Chili has been added to our soup options (which already included White Chicken and Red Beef Chilis), along with the return of our Watermelon Gazpacho. The Mac & Cheese has been retooled with fresh herbs, as well as and option to add bacon, mushrooms or roasted peppers to the dish. Lastly, our sandwich selection has expanded to include a delicious brined, semi-seared Pork Chop Sandwich. Stop in soon and give our new items a taste!
On consecutive Tuesdays (March 27 and April 3), local rockers the 4onthefloor will be on hand in The Depot for happy hour (6pm-9pm). The band will be selling tickets and posters ($10) for their upcoming Mainroom show on April 13. Good times will be had and autographs will be signed, most likely all in 4/4 time.
Come down to The Depot Tavern on Thursday, March 8 to hear Lucero’s new record before its March 13 release date. We’ll be giving away a copy of Women & Work as well as other items from Lucero, First Avenue, and Electric Fetus. The event starts at 7:30pm and tickets to the band’s April 4 show at First Avenue will be available for purchase.
