Doomtree’s own Dessa will appear in person this evening at The Depot Tavern from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Dessa will be selling a limited number of tickets for her first ever solo-headlining Mainroom show on June 29, which will celebrate the release of her new album, Parts of Speech.

Surly debuting new West Coast IPA at The Depot on April 6

Surly is sponsoring The 4onthefloor concert and will debut its new West Coast IPA, Overrated, at The Depot Tavern and First Avenue on Saturday, April 6, 2013. Come drink some Overrated beer, listen to some stompin’ rock music and have a good time. There will be $5 cans of Overrated, and an expanded selection of Surly beers including Furious, Cynic, Hell, Bender, Coffee Bender, and Smoke will also be available.

It’s been said: “It’s easier to brew an extremely hoppy beer than an extremely balanced beer.” And you know us, we are always looking for the easy way out, so we jumped on the West Coast IPA bandwagon and brewed this dry and hoppy ale. “Surly’s a little bit of a one-trick pony, they just brew gimmick beers,” and maybe we are OVERRATED, but at the end of the day, it’s just a beer. If you like it, great, so do we. If you only liked us when we were small, then leave this one on the shelf. Let one of the fanboys grab it.

Rising local hip-hop star Prof will appear in person at The Depot Tavern from 12:00pm until 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 30 for a special presale event.

Tickets for Prof’s upcoming two night stand in the Mainroom (April 12 and 13) go on sale at noon, and the man himself will be there selling them to you. So come by The Depot and get your tickets straight from the source, before anybody else!

Sam Spadino

Born in the late Mesozoic era and raised by a pair of young, albeit loving, iguanodons. They went extinct when Sam was still a small boy, leaving him safely buried in an ice cave for the unforeseeable millennium to follow.
In 1981 a minor earthquake jarred the contents of the cavern wherein the young Spadino was laid, causing him to emerge unharmed, but with only the primeval instincts that his dino parents left him with.
The 80′s taught young Sam how to cut loose and soon he became the Partydino!
The rest, as they say, is history.

Just Announced: The 3rd Annual Diamond Dog™ Eating Contest

This 4th of July, six brave souls will compete to see who can eat the most Diamond Dogs™ in 10 minutes. The contestants will be going up against City Pages’ Best Hot Dog of 2012 – the 1/4 Pound All Beef Hot Dog, Wrapped with Pepper Bacon, and Deep-Fried, Served on a Pretzel Bun. Some pretty awesome prizes are up for grabs:

First place winner: Platinum Membership, 10 pairs of tickets to First Ave shows, $50.00 Depot giftcard
Second place winner: Gold Membership, 5 pairs of tickets to First Ave shows, $25.00 Depot giftcard
Third place winner: Gold Membership, 3 pairs of tickets to First Ave shows, $25.00 Depot giftcard
If the winner beats last year’s 10 Diamond Dogs™, they get an extra $500
